Total Defence and Preparedness

In an increasingly complex world, organisations face growing demands on their ability to prevent risks, manage disruptions and sustain operations over time. Resilience is about integrating security, preparedness and continuity as a natural part of governance and strategy.

Afactor supports the private sector and public sector organisations with information security, compliance, preparedness, crisis management and business continuity management. Through structured, operationally close work, we strengthen the organisation's resilience in everyday operations, during crises and in heightened readiness.

Contingency Planning

Support in planning and developing preparedness and security so that the organisation can operate during societal disruption, heightened alert, or changing conditions. During a crisis or heightened alert, responsibilities, decision-making, and requirements for critical operations change. Effective planning strengthens the ability to support total defence and maintain operations. We start from your strategy and processes, identify needs, and propose measures that integrate preparedness and continuity into day-to-day operations.

Crisis Management and Crisis Exercises

Support in establishing and developing crisis management capability, as well as conducting realistic crisis exercises tailored to the organisation. In a crisis, clear leadership, roles and decision-making pathways are critical to reducing impact and maintaining trust. We design crisis management structures, develop plans and conduct exercises that strengthen the organisation’s ability to act under pressure.

Standards and certification

Together with SIS (Swedish Standards Institute), Afactor is developing Sweden’s first preparedness standard for organisations’ capability in the event of a threat of war or war, SS 22306, with planned publication in the second half of 2026. Based on this work, support is offered to translate upcoming requirements into practical action. The service is aimed at organisations that need to strengthen their ability to manage crises, disruptions and heightened preparedness — without losing business-critical functionality. The work covers risk assessment, continuity planning and the establishment of a structured preparedness framework integrated into day-to-day operations. The focus is on creating tangible impact: clear working methods, increased resilience and the ability to act when it truly matters.
